Lisa and I continued summer of action movies with “wanted”. There were some pretty awesome action sequences. Seriously impressive.
Then we ate some sushi Lisa and Brianne style (4 dishes for 2 people) at an outdoor sushi place called Sushi-a-go-go. It was yummy and we had some cocount sangria. Who knew you could make coconut flavored wine and it would taste good?
Then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond (or as Meghan calls it, Best Buy-it gets confusing around here) and bought many needed things and one not necessity-and ice cream maker! That’s right! Ever since Maren and I were little girls and we went camping almost every weekend of the summer and this older couple who was always there and make us homemade icecream every weekend, I have wanted an ice cream maker. And now we have one! He’s silver and shiny and new and I can’t wait to have an ice cream making extravaganza!
The only downfall of our BB&B trip was the man who stalked Lisa. We were in the candle/air freshener area and this man was there for so long that Lisa and I both thought he worked there. However, we discovered he did not when he came up to Lisa and told her ” you have such a pretty face. I just wanted to tell you.” Uh, thanks?! But, Liser handled it well and we went back to smelling the goods. Sadly, the man didn’t take the hint and leave, he then asked us about the products (like we worked there) and we gave him some tips and then selected ours and left the area. Okay, problem solved, right? Nope. Because this guy was dedicated. He followed us from candles to rugs to window treatments. It was when the creepy lingering turned to out and out stalking that we got a little nervous. Luckily, we had purchased window shades and then felt better about our ability to defend ourselves with these large weapon-like items should push come to shove. Happily, no home store violence was necessary was we got on the escalator and lost him before getting to the registers. Dodged a bullet with that one! Crazy stalker man!
So, as you can see we had an eventful Tuesday. However, my favorite part about all of it is that it all occurred before 9pm. Which was a good thing as we both came back here and pooped out by 10:00 like old ladies. Oh well, at least we made a good showing while we were out and about!
This is not a picture from our outing, we didn’t take any, although we should have cuz I looked cute in my new dress. Anyway, this is a picture of Maren and Lisa measuring to see who has the biggest mouth when Lisa was here for a visit in January. Lisa was the winner! Sorry Maren!
