Saturday, Meghan and I picked up Dan (meghans brother) from Grand Central and headed straight to Madison Square Garden to see “Walking with Dinosaurs: the Live Experience”. To say that it was awesome would be an understatement. It was so flipping cool!

Cool Thing One: The narrator was a man on the stage who was simultaneously the cheesiest and most awesome guy ever! If you could imagine the best voice for a narrator of a dinosaur show to have, that was the voice of this man! Well chosen narrator, show producers, well chosen.
Cool Thing Two: We paid $35 for our seats and then at intermission, moved down the the $55 seats for the rest of the show.

Cool Thing Three: the dinosaurs! The Dinosaurs! THE DINOSAURS! So huge and so life-like. It was like Jurassic Park Live!

If this show comes to your area, see it. It was cool! The only problem with seeing this show is that I am now yearning to see Jurassic Park and I don’t own it. Grrr!!! I want to see more Dinosaurs! I may be Netflix-ing that very very soon!
The first book not in the Dark Tower Series I’ve read in about a month was a Pulitzer winner, so a pretty good book. It took me a minute to get into the “lyrical” writing. “Lyrical” being code for leaving words out of sentences. But I got the hang of it and really liked it and got quite attached to the characters and when it ended, was a little sad and wished the book had been longer. What can you do? I’m currently reading a book called “No Trace” and it’s a mystery, a genre i don’t often branch into but find quite enjoyable. I’ll keep you posted. ( i read this book before the tale of despereaux but forgot to post about it. i stopped in the middle of no trace [which is good] to read the childrens book) happy reading! no worries, i bought the last three books in the dark tower series and will be starting them soon. i am so so so excited about the series finishing! i can’t wait. maybe i’ll leave them until after the olympics so i have something to look forward to after the end of the glory that is the olympics!
