That’s right, women in a car! Lisa, Meghan and I took a road-trip to Maren Stefanie Genow’s house (and Jeff’s too) on Friday. We got to drive in a real live car!

I know it’s everyday for most of you, but for us, it’s not. I hadn’t driven a car since Maren’s wedding. That’s right, July of 2007. Is it sad or awesome that at least 50% of my excitement over this trip was based on the fact that I’d get to drive? I think awesome! And I hope Maren doesn’t feel that that reflects any way on her. I mean, who do I like better than Maren? The answer my dears, is no one. (sorry for those of you who thought you might edge her out)

One interesting detail about our trip is the not so stellar planning that all three of us showed when we all decided to work the night before. This meant that when we went to pick up our rental car, none of us had slept. Yes, that’s right. Three nurses fast approaching being awake for 24 hours in a car driving into another country.

       

And now we’re in Canada. Land of the free and home of the brave. Oh wait, that’s not them. That might be evidence of my lack of sleep. What can you do?

Preview of our weekend with the FC’s. (FC’s= what I call Maren and Jeff. Maren used to call Jeff, JFC meaning Jeff From Canada. So, when she married in she then became MFC and thus they together are the FC’s. I just wanted to clarify as that is how I tend to refer to them and I didn’t want people to be confused) Yummy homemade food from Maren. Mario Cart tournaments on the Nintendo Wii. Gerogie versus Alabama football on Saturday. Jeff’s football game on Sunday. It’s going to be a great weekend and I’ll update you all soon.
