Yesterday we celebrated that great American Canadian holiday, Thanksgiving. We had all the traditional thanksgiving food and ended our dinner by playing a Canadian card game, just like the Canadian pilgrims did it.

We were thankful four our bountiful harvest this year and for Zaks sweet potatoes and white gravy and stuffing. And for Lisas kick ass bread! Nice work, all! I hope you all had a lovely Canadian Thanksgiving! Oh, Canada, thanks for this excuse to eat Thanksgiving food one more time in a year!

yes, I cried a lot on Sunday. First, Kyle and I went to see Rachel Getting Married. Great movie, but a seriously tear-inducing family drama. And I mean that in the best way. This movie was great. Amber, you’d love this.

Then, we met Meghan and Lisa for the final performance of [title of show] on Broadway. This one was difficult to watch because the people in the show play themselves and they cried during the show. And so did many members of the audience. When there were silences, you could hear the people around us sniffling. It was like when I saw Titanic in the theatre in high school and the woman in front of me cried out loud with a terrible sob when (spoiler alert) Jack’s hand cracks off the headboard and he floats to the bottonm of the sea. Yeah, it was like that. This was such a great show and I’m sad to see it go. But, that seems to be the way with the B-way lately. If it’s original or good, we don’t want you. Instead we want Shrek and the Little Mermaid and anything else that was once a movie or a cartoon or has been done before in some other format. Grrr…

But, we will put our tears aside for today is Canadian Thanksgiving! And yes, we are celebrating and it’s going to kick ass!
