Since I neglected the blogging while all this was happening, I thought I’d go back and hit you with the details of our holiday week. So, you already heard about the balloons and the celebrity sightings times two and now you get the rest of the night.

When we were still at the house before seeing the balloons, I asked Maren if she wanted me to take a picture of her and Jeff and got this instead:

We started the night at a party at Ezra’s overlooking the balloon blowing up site.

Then headed outside to see the balloons and celebrities galore! We also got serenaded by Kermit singing Christmas songs and had to create a “base” system in case someone got lost (very easy to do in a NYC holiday crowd) where we would meet at “base” if all else failed. And what is easy to see and find in such a crowd? Yes, giant Jeff was base and that’s what we called him while we were out. Thanks for being such a sport, JFC.

After balloon fun was over, we headed back to the house for dinner, drinking and games. Who chould write a better itinerary for Thanksgiving Eve?

Lisa and Zak spent the night to add to the fun and we had a fantastic game of pictionary that Lisa, Jeff and I won. And when I saw won, I mean dominated!

(see how pissed they all look-it’s cuz they lost-hardcore!)

After the gaming and drinking, we performed a mini-surgical procedure. You know, like the pilgrims did. About 6 weeks ago, Luna broke a candle holder and Jeff tried to sweep up the shards but accidentally stepped on one and we were trying to dig it out. Sadly, after much digging, several tools and a flashlight, we were unsuccessful. And while Jeff looks dead in the photos, he made it out alive and was even thankful for Lisa giving it the old college try. Sorry, Jeff.

And so ends the night before Thanksgiving. Coming up next: Thanksgiving Day!
