Yes, this is back blogging, but as Meghan has requested, I won’t do as many back blogs as I did over Thanksgiving. Although, I’m secretly convinced that she was only mad about that because they were all stories of fun that was had at her house while she wasn’t around. But, that’s just a theory.

I got to Michigan on December 23 and Maren, Kyle and Aunt Tricia picked me up from the airport. It took us 100 years to drive to Aunt Tricias house due to the snow, sleet, slush on the highways. Aparently while awaiting news of the big three buyout, Detroit decided to stop clearing snow from the highways. Thanks.
We spent the 23rd night in Lapeer, MI and then headed to Grandma and Grandpas on the 24th. Maren, Kyle and I watched The Grinch in the car on the way over. And we learned that Christmas is about more than presents. Thanks, Dr. Seuss.

We then got to do one of my favorite things which is go to Grandmas church for the Christmas Eve Service. Dad and I got to sit next to eachother during church because Mom wasn’t paying attention to the seating arrangements. (sidenote-dad and i always used to get in trouble in church when we sat next to eachother for laughing and talking so mom always tries to make sure we are far apart-but we got her this year!) Then we got to hear small children with Michigan accents sing Morning Star. Life was good.

After church, we normally go to Aunt Sandra’s house, but this year she rejected us and we were forced to go to Trappers Bar. Yes, a bar on Christmas Eve. But that’s where we got 8 drinks for $19 so it was a Christmas Miracle. Thanks, cheap farm town bar!

Look how nice the Perrett’s looked on Christmas Eve at the bar. Anyway, after the bar, we headed home and went to sleep for Christmas!
