When in large quantities, our family plays games like it might be our very last chance to do so.
Naturally, over the holidays, we played until we just couldn’t play anymore. We played Euchre everyday at least once, spades, 10 up 10 down, Farkel, Partini, Catch Phrase, Peanuts, Cranium, MarioKart, some new game Maren got for Jeff that I can’t remember the name of and the list goes on.
I love family game time. The way Mom and Aunt Tricia think that yelling will help their team get the answer. The lesson Maren learned from the master (grandpa) about when to go alone in Euchre. The wins, the crushing defeats, the crazy things Mom came up with during Catch Phrase (in example, instead of Poetic Justice she kept saying “justice poetry”). Yes, game time is a good time.
Note-while Maren is wearing the same shirt in all of these photos, the game play did take place over a series of days, however once she got her fleece from me for Christmas, she wore it all the time. Guess she liked it.
P.S to Lisa and Meghan- I got an awesome new game that we will be playing and loving soon. Preview-at one point, you toss balls into cups. It’s going to be great!
