The day after Christmas the Fog rolled in. This made me very uncomfortable, but was quite pretty. Smart people that we are, we all decided to drive 1/2 an hour in the fog to see movies. Yes, wise plan.

After the movies we went to see Uncle Duane and Aunt Rock, or as mom kept calling them while we were in Michigan, “the Genows”. I found this strange as she is also a Genow, but what can you do?

Uncle Duane made Grandma Genow christmas santa cookies just the way she always made them. It was the first one that Maren and I had had in years and it was good. Thanks, Uncle Duane.

You’ll notice in the photo below that Dad decided to smile like old school Brianne and Maren when he posed with his older brother, who coincidentally, is my favorite uncle. Don’t tell the others. However, since Aunt Marge died, there is an opening for favorite aunt if anyone would like to submit an application.

I am again putting my life in the hands of physics today as I fly back home around noon. I am so excited to get back home. I was happy to be in Michigan and happy to see Robyn get married, but I have missed my own bed and my own city and I’m ready to get home. Note to New Yorkers, my flight lands around 6:30 so I should be home sometime after that. At this point I’m going to quote Meghans grandmother and say “God willing”.
