Yesterday I had a triple feature movie day.
1. My Bloody Valentine 3-D with Zak. To say this was badly awesome would be an accurate statement. It was exactly what you would expect a 3-D horror film to be an it was so great. Zak and I loved it and within a few moments of the beginning of the movie declared it “the best movie ever made”. See this if you are under 30, with a friend and in the mood to laugh at gore.
2. The Reader with Meghan. This movie was really great. Nothing bad about it. I read the book on which it is based a few years ago and loved it and was nervous about the movie. However, there was no need. This was one of the best ever book to movie adaptations I have ever seen. Well played, producers. I recommend this for most people unless nudity is a problem for you and then I’d skip it.
3. Push with Zak, Meghan and Lisa. This was a default choice as our dinner took longer than we originally planned. It was an action movie with Dakota Fanning. She did a good job, the rest of the cast, not so good. I don’t recommend this one.
I did have a great day at the movies and went 2 for 3 in terms of good movies, so who could ask for anything more?
