I am happy to report that according to a National Survery, brunettes make an average of $8,400 a year more than blondes.
When I read this I thought, oh, that’s so great for me and my non-blonde friends. And then I thought, do I have any blonde friends? Um…no. Autumn’s hair is red and Mindy is currently blonde but I don’t count it because that’s not her natural color.
Is this a blonde prejudice that I have? Well, let’s be honest, probably. Most of my favorite people, both real and fictional have brown hair. And even if they sport yellow tresses now, they are natural brunettes and thus dont’ count toward my blonde tally. Let’s make a list:
1. Friends: Maren, Amber, Zak, John, Lisa, Erica, Meghan-all brunettes
2. Fictional Friends: The Gilmore Girls, Lucas from Empire Records, Elizabeth Bennett
3. People I’d like to be my friends: Ben Roethlisberger, Phil Mickelson, Chris Confessional
Yep, I’m anti-blonde. What can you do? Rock on fellow richer brunettes!
