Hello all. Sorry for the late post to those of you who normally check the blog between 2-9am. I was sleeping hard after aboutg 36 hours of being awake and it was an awesome sleep and I don’t regret a minute of it. There’s nothing like sleeping from 9:30pm until you are awakened by Maren’s phone call at 8:15am. Solid.
So, yesterday was Lisa’s b-day and it came in with about 6 inches of snow which made our day a little wetter than planned but no less fun. We went to lunch at Jean Georges and it was awesome. A 4 course meal that lasted for 2.5 hours for a shocking low price and the food was awesome. It was the first time I had had butternut squash soup (I know, a strange thing to have never had!) and now I think I’ve ruined any future soup of the same variety since I just had the best ever! It was so yummy. All of it was. And such a fun lunch overlooking beautiful snowy central park.
But, moving on…We are about 30 minutes from leaving to go skiing (well, Meghan and Lisa will be skiing since Genow’s don’t ski. Maren and I will be doing other fun things) upstate. I’m pretty excited to have some time off of work and to hang with the girls and to get to drive in a car! It should be a great week. There’s a jacuzzi in our room! Hello good times!
I’ll keep you posted throughout our week. We’ll be back on Saturday if you’re looking for us or want to break in. And if you do break in, at least be polite and feed the turtle. Thanks!
Also, today’s random information is that “The average person speaks 31,5000 words per day.” I wish there was a word counter that you could wear like a pedometer to see how close you come to the total. I think it would be interesting to know. For example, my Grandpa probably speaks around 11 words per day and I can think of several people who would certainly go over and I wish I could know. Maybe this is something my friend Sean could work on making for me while on his roadtrip if he gets bored (Erica-pass that on).
Happy day after Lisa’s birthday to you all!
