So, here we are in upstate New York and we are all re-learning what it’s like to live in a small town. Yesterday around 8pm, we left the room to go get some dinner. And discovered that everything in this town closes at sundown. Okay, probably not sundown, but well before 8pm. But, we did discover one really awesome place that was open. It was a:
1. Subway sandwhich place
2. A frozen yogurt place
3. an antique store
4. a video rental place
5. a movie theatre
ALL IN ONE! With one worker! What?! Yes! It’s true. This one high school student was in charge of all of that. Had we needed to purchase an antique table, eat a sandwich, some ice cream, then see a movie and rent one for home, we could have done it all. It’s the ultimate in one stop shopping! Jealous? They don’t have that in New York City!
So, tomorrow we are off to see the town before sundown while Meghan and Lisa hit the slopes. Keep your fingers crossed that Meghan survives the day. More to come from cold NY…
