Today is the last day of our trip. We are headed back to the city later today. Tomorrow I’ll give you the recap and hit some of the highlights that I haven’t mentioned so far. However, one thing I’d like to mention now is that when Maren was driving us home from lunch on Thursday, there was a bump in the road and there was a sign “advertising” this bump. The fact that the town “advertised” the bump made Maren slow to a near-stop on this road and then take the bump at a snails pace and then say after we were over it “Woo Hoo! That was a bump!”
Maren and I also spent quite a bit of time “lost”. Not lost in a hopeless, we’ll never find our way back sort of way but a we’re not where we’re supposed to be but it’s sure a nice little road and so we’ll enjoy ourselves kind of way. I think it’s safe to say we spent a few hours like this and had a great time. We’d also like to take a moment to thank the makers of the Durango for putting the digital compass in the console so we didn’t have to figure out how to read the suns position boy scout-style to figure out in what direction we were heading. I mean, we can take care of ourselves, but we’re not wilderness guides.
