Let’s take a moment to talk about how great last Saturday was:
1. First day of college football!
2. Michigan won their first game of the season for the first time in 3 years.
3. Sean and Ericas wedding was awesome and had a pretty great after-party.
4. OU lost. (My apologies to Amber on this one-I know it hurts you, but it also brings me great joy)
5. Drunk Meghan was out to play-she’s my favorite Meghan and she so rarely visits.
Can you ask for a better Saturday? I’m not sure you can. But, having this first Saturday has reminded me how great football Saturdays are. It’s fall and there’s College Gameday and I don’t work Fridays or Saturdays and now Maren is here so we can watch football together. This is a recipe for greatness if I’ve ever seen one. The only problem with football season is that sometimes I see the rest of the week as the crap that has to pass between football games. I’m trying to be better about this, but I guess it’s just a reflection of my all-consuming love for this great sport. See you Saturday.

Just think, this Saturday could be a perfect football Saturday. Michigan beats Notre Dame, and USC beats the Evil Empire from the university down south (Ohio State to the uninitiated). A Michigan win, a Notre Dame loss and an Ohio State loss in one day?!?!?!?!? We can only hope!

Can OU win this Saturday? I know they’re just playing Idaho St. but it would be a moral victory for all. Plus I’m going to the game and drunk Amber + Sad situation= highly emotional crying and possibly a meltdown where I threaten to move out because someone spilt coke on my jeans. But drunk Amber + OU win= fun times for all because fun, party Amber will come out to play!
